As R&D Senior Test Engineer you will focus on a range of test approaches to help create high-quality embedded products. You demonstrate a passion for testing and test automation in the context of a whole-system environment and work closely with the Core Development Teams to demonstrate the projected product performance, increase test coverage, and create tools to ensure our world-class products work as expected.You will be part of an agile team implementing innovative test solutions for embedded living space and plant room solutions. You will be a test champion, driving continuous improvement of our processes, tools, and practices. This is a great opportunity to expand your development expertise while creating real, customer-focused products that are released worldwide.What will you do?Test embedded Linux systems; perform memory, performance, and stress testingCollaborate with a global team across borders and time zonesCreate, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and processesIdentify, develop, and maintain automation scripts, tools, and test cases Specify and design test fixtures necessary to perform test automation to support R&D program, and collaborate into specifying manufacturing test requirements for product industrializationArchitect robust CI/CD pipelines with expanded capabilities with a focus on quality, scalability, real-time processing and high platform availabilityDocument and analyze test results to provide necessary feedback to the development team and ensure thorough unit and hardware tests are conducted. Regularly perform manual, sanity, smoke, regression, and other tests.Champion process improvements to increase quality, reduce costs, and improve efficiencyParticipate in agile planning events including Scrums, sprint planning, and retrospectivesWork closely with other test leads / managers / architects & design teams, gather requirements, prioritize automation efforts & deliver business value.What qualifications will make you successful?EE Engineer or CS with 5-7 years of relevant test and test automation experienceDemonstrable programming skills and previous experience of test development using pythonStrong background and understanding of electric circuit fundamentalsAble to read and create electronic schematic diagrams to understand production functionality and create test fixtures/jigs necessary to test embedded hardwareAble to handle and programmatically interface to test equipment - Oscilloscope, AC/DC power sources, multi-meters, network devices, PLCs/DAQ systems etcGood oral & written communication in EnglishGood understanding of product development life cycle (Agile methodology, Integration testing etc)Experience of bug reporting and collaboration tools Jira and ConfluenceGood oral & written communication in English to be able to communicate and share with partners and colleagues in other Canadian's provicnes and out of Canada Creating a More Sustainable World, TogetherSustainability is at the core of our purpose - to empower all to make the most of our energy and resources, bridging progress and sustainability for all.
