For insight on our heritage please click: Position Summary Note: This is a maternity leave cover on a one year, fixed-term contract. Based out of Toronto, Ontario or remotely, with travel to various sites across Canada/US a handful of times throughout the year. The Director, Sustainability and Responsibility will be responsible for maintaining corporate and brand Sustainability and Responsibility programs in line with Pernod Ricard's global S&R strategy and individual brand strategies. Reporting to the SVP, Operations, NADL, the individual will produce and execute detailed strategic plans, and build effective relationships with internal and external partners. The S&R Director will work with a cross functional network of business leaders to meet the company's environmental and social targets. In addition, he/she will implement a range of initiatives designed to drive reputation, engage key stakeholders, achieve business goals and strengthen communities in which we live and work. Key Responsibilities - North American S&R Strategy Lead the strategic Sustainability & Responsibility (S&R) plan for Pernod Ricard North America (covering all offices and operational sites in both the United States and Canada). Represent Pernod Ricard North America in various external organizations, actively participating to further progress sustainability & responsibility within the Wine & Spirits industry. Proactively engage with and mobilize stakeholders to ensure buy-in and approval on key projects and initiatives. Serve as lead subject matter expert on best practices and trends in sustainability & responsibility while providing direct support for the PRNA executive team. Key point of liaison with the Global Sustainability & Responsibility team. - Delivering on NA S&R Roadmap Responsible for the management and reporting of progress for all North American KPIs linked with broader global Group S&R strategy. Manage project deliverables, stakeholders, and timelines across all S&R projects across the four pillars of the strategy including updating top management on a regular basis of progress. Lead the implementation of various strategic S&R initiatives across the region including regenerative agricultural practices, sustainable bartending, circularity & recycling solutions, renewable energy sourcing, championing responsible drinking and more. Partner with Corporate Services to implement S&R Office Guidelines and best practices. Actively engage with external organizations including Responsibility.org and the Distilled Spirts Council to further progress on sustainability within the spirits and wine industry. Work in collaboration with Public Affairs and Communications to secure Pernod Ricard's position as an industry leader in responsible consumption. - Corporate Citizenship Collaborate with HR partners to support the Organization's efforts in "Valuing People", including: Health & Safety, Supporting Trade workers, Charitable Contributions, Supplier Diversity and Future Fit Training of employees. Maintain Pernod Ricard's position as a leading corporate citizen, engaging with nonprofits to drive shared strategic goals. Responsible for the creation and execution for all Responsib'All Day activations across the US and Canada - Responsib'All Day is Pernod Ricard's annual event where all 19,000 employees step away from their daily tasks to engage in local community projects. - Sustainability & Responsibility Communications Be a key subject matter expert on all things S&R, promoting our efforts both internally and externally as the designated spokesperson for these topics. Work closely with the NA Corporate Communications team to amplify our visibility and profile both internally and externally, telling the Pernod Ricard S&R story. - Budgeting and Management Oversee dedicated budget to achieve strategic priorities. Directly manage on full time employee including career development and technical guidance. Work with and manage a variety of consultants, ensuring high quality results. Requirements - Profile A visionary, creative, strategic thinker and self-starter who is proactive and entrepreneurial but also highly collaborative. Innovative thinker who can constructively challenge conventional ways of thinking and introduce new ideas. Management of one direct report. A passion and understanding for sustainability & responsibility. Track record of creating and building effective partnerships. Enthusiastic team player that can work autonomously and as well with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Calm under pressure; comfort in a fast-paced, rapidly shifting and evolving workplace. Attention to detail. Budgeting and financial acumen. - Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability, Public Relations, Business or related field. Preferred: Graduate Degree in communications, CSR, Sustainability or related field. - Experience Required: 10 years' experience in Corporate Social Responsibility roles.
