Job Title: Consultancy Research Analyst Location: Hybrid (2–3 days/week in our central Oxford office, otherwise remote working) Reporting in to: Head of Research Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £45,000 (Mid-level) Closing Date: 31st April 2024 Visa Requirement: We are unable to offer visa sponsorship so candidates will need right to work in the UK We are hiring a Consultancy Research Analyst to support the company in delivering its core aim of transforming mental health research through the use of real-world medical data. The company is working in this highly innovative area of research to accelerate the development of new treatments and service improvements in mental health and dementia. This role is focused around delivering high quality consultancy research for commercial partners using Akrivia Health’s unique data asset of 4.6 million+ patients’ anonymised psychiatric electronic health records. KEY TASKS: ● Deliver consultancy research projects for our commercial partners using Akrivia’s database of 4.6 million+ AI-enriched mental health patient records, including: o Feasibility analysis and scoping for potential projects, including retrospective research, clinical trial feasibility. o Development of project proposals and pitch decks for the above. o Providing on-study analytic support for active recruitment projects. ● Work with sales and marketing team to develop our commercial pipeline of consultancy and clinical trial support work through evidence generation, cocreation of marketing materials, conference attendance, and supporting sales projects during early scoping meetings. ● Work with our Research Delivery Network team to help the NHS develop its national clinical research delivery infrastructure through data and analytics (e.g., identifying new data or functionality to improve recruitment efficiency). ● Work with the Data Engineering team to develop and test new tools and features for our research platform to improve our ability to delivery high quality consultancy research and clinical research support. ● Work with our team of Clinical Advisors to develop a deep knowledge base for mental health electronic health record (EHR) data. ● Dissemination: Write project reports, research papers, create presentations to disseminate project results and run workshops to showcase our research platform. ● Use initiative and creativity to identify areas for research, develop new research methods and grow the Company’s consultancy portfolio. YOU BRING WITH YOU: ● 2+ years experience in a quantitative analytic role and/or equivalent academic qualification in a quantitative research subject. ● Good core statistical knowledge and quantitative research skills. ● Experience writing reports and research publications to a professional standard. ● Keen interest in mental health and dementia (sector experience desirable but not essential). ● Strong interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills. ● Ability to translate complex concepts and communicate these with a variety of stakeholders in multiple formats (e.g. verbal, written documents, PowerPoint presentations). ● Technical skills: Proficient in at least one statistical programming language (e.g., Python/R/STATA). …HIGHLY DESIRED: ● Sector experience in consultancy, especially as a data scientist or quantitative researcher, in healthcare or clinical research delivery. ● Sector experience in mental health research, data and/or care provision (especially in the NHS context) and/or clinical trials. ● Track record in leading and delivering projects (especially analytic projects) to client specifications and strict deadlines. ● Appetite for progression towards a team leadership role, and desire to help shape a new team within the company. ● Experience in at least one database language (e.g., PostgreSQL).
