We are recruiting a UK based Mid to Senior Level Civil Engineer whose role will be to lead and manage the preparation of design documents, calculation reports and specifications for waterfront/marine civil site development (site layout, grading, storm water, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems)

  • Plan, schedule work, and complete work assignments within established budget and timelines
  • Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans
  • Perform limited field observations in support of construction and data collection
  • Determine project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.
  • Creates feasibility study by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data.
  • Confirms adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction site, and verifying calculations and placements
  • Conduct site visits and attend client meetings as necessary.
To be considered as a suitable applicant for this role, one would require:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering from an accredited university degree program
  • Chartered Engineer registration; required
  • 15 to 20 years of experience in Civil engineering design including grading, drainage, hydraulics and hydrology, stormwater, erosion sediment control, and environmental permitting
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with competence in managing projects, budgets, proposal writing, and coordination with clients
  • Competence in general civil engineering design is required including roadway, paving, grading, drainage, hydraulics and hydrology water, and sanitary sewer
  • Experience in waterfront development projects desired but not required
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Desired proficiency with XPSWMM, Hydraulic Modeling Systems (HEC), USDA Technical Releases (TR), MicroStation products
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
