Subscriptions Retention Lead SALARY: £30,000 pa - £40,000 pa (FTE) depending on skills and experience, (working 2 days per week, pro rata salary £12,000 pa - £16,000 pa)  LOCATION: Home, London when needed HOURS OF WORK: (14 hour pw) Tuesday and Thursday REPORTING TO: Commercial Marketing Manager   OVERALL MISSION OF PREMIER   To help people encounter God through Media.   PURPOSE OF ROLE   You will ensure subscribers to Premier Christianity and Premier Woman Alive enjoy the content in their subscription and are retained as subscribers. You will oversee their digital and offline experience and plan journeys to increase their engagement and ensure they realise the value of their subscription. You will be responsible for the retention strategy and create the renewal, cancel-save and win-back journeys to maximize subscriber retention. You will contribute to overall subscriber growth in collaboration with the Subscriptions Acquisition Lead. KEY TASKS  - Establish subscription retention strategies to decrease the amount of churn in our subscriber base. - Increase the conversion rate of subscribers from paid subscription trials and overall lifetime of subscribers. - Oversee the user journey for a subscriber to ensure they are receiving value and engaging with the content they are paying for. - Work closely with the editorial team to understand content coming up and how best to engage subscribers with it. - Improve the subscription experience from free trial to renewals. - Review and draft copy to support the subscribers lifecycle, such as welcome emails to new subscribers, engagement communications and website messaging for newer subscribers, etc. - Implement and manage retention campaigns in Premier’s digital marketing platform, including email, lightboxes and content management system. - Review the impact of all retention activities for effectiveness. - Adjust retention strategies based on data analysis ensuring organisational learning takes place. - Review analysis for subscriber engagement and request analysis to understand subscriber behavior and create strategies to increase engagement. - Deploy reader surveys, polls and other community pieces to enhance the subscriber’s experience. - Create strong renewal journeys and opportunities to win-back lapsed subscribers. - Establish a save-offer strategy to retain as many subscribers as possible. - Monitor Key Retention Metrics such as: churn, conversion from trial, Year 1 Revenue Return, winback, cancel-save and achieve key targets in these areas. - Produce or work with the Data Information Manager and Digital team to ensure you have access to the right metrics and reporting you need to be successful.   Please note this job description is not exhaustive; it captures the direction and intention of the role and it may be changed in conversation with the post holder over time.   QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE · Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent expertise gained through experience. · Minimum of 5 years' experience in subscription marketing, preferably within the print and digital magazine sector. · Demonstrated experience of working with retention KPIs (such as churn rates) and how to prioritise them. · Proven track record in planning and implementing successful retention strategies. · Strong understanding of digital channels and strategies. · Experience in working with external agencies, consultants, and data analysis. · Proficient in various software used for subscriber research, data analysis, and customer relationship management (CRM). · Understanding of Christian audiences and engagement trends. ABILITIES & SKILLS · Proficiency in devising on-boarding, in-life, win-back and cancel-save strategies to retain subscriptions. · Excellent copywriting skills to draft compelling brand messages and subscriber communications. · Analytical skills to assess campaign performance, monitor key metrics, and make data-driven decisions. · Ability to enhance subscriber experience, from creating engaging inbound marketing journeys to devising effective renewal strategies. · Experience in various media channels and managing subscription renewal funnels .   PERSONAL QUALITIES · High level of commitment and dedication · The post-holder will work in a Christian environment therefore it will be necessary for the post-holder to have respect for the Christian faith, its values and be in sympathy with our organisational aims.
