Role introductionThe Information Security Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy, and program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, compliance requirements, and emerging threats.Your primary focus areas include: Integration of the current 3 Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) deployed across the 3 locations in the Netherlands (Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Veenendaal); Enhancement and assurance of continued certification of security compliancy standards like ISO 27001:2022; Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive information security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures; Lead the identification, assessment and prioritization of solving security risks and vulnerabilities across the organization; Establish and manage an effective incident response and disaster recovery plan to minimize the impact of security breaches; Conduct regular security audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations; Collaborate with HSO's local and international teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle of applications, systems, and infrastructure; Provide guidance and support to business units on security-related matters, including access control, encryption, and data protection. What do you bring to the role? Bachelor's or master's degree and relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CISA are highly desirable; Proven experience (5+ years) in information security management, with a track record on cybersecurity principles, risk management, compliance requirements, and emerging threats; In depth understanding of compliance requirements, e.g. ISO 27001/27002 and experience in implementing and certifying organizations based on these standards; Proven experience in developing and maintaining information security policies, procedures, and guidelines; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively advise and collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams, and the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders; Fluency in English is a necessity, while proficiency in Dutch is preferred. Candidates who do not speak Dutch should demonstrate a willingness to learn the language.
