OVERVIEWPosition Security Systems ManagerJob Code Sector Government Affairs Department Public Safety Role Purpose The application support manger will be responsible to provide technical and operational support to Public Safety applications and systems. He will work closely with business stakeholder to identify how to best use their applications. This role also involves helping the stakeholder redesign their business processes so they can maximize the benefit of their applications. In addition, he will be responsible to perform software testing for software upgrades and new product releases.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES Manages technicalteamand resolve all complex application and system issues.Design and maintain expertise in flow of application process and systems related to company.Administer and resolve applications issues, provide updates and perform root cause analysis.Plan execute applications configuration change procedures to ensure optimal quality assurance for all applications.Develop, sustain and evaluate delegated business processes and related applications.Supervise all alerts related to application and system procedures and provide services proactively.Maintain good professional relationships with counterparts of engineering and business users.Perform root cause assessment and debug all issues on availability of applications.Coordinate with departments and administer code migrations in various environments and production outputs.Provide support and identify all issues and prepare appropriate documentation all issues and solutions.Manage all production systems and recommend ways to optimize performance and provide solution to problems and prepare reports for all problems.Identify and provide resolutions ranging in complexity from medium to high.Undergo a detailed study of the existing system and recommend installation or upgrade of a new system.Provide training to the users regarding any upgraded systemsProvide direction during software programming and development of documentation.BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills and Experience ComplianceEnsures that all assigned production support issues are properly logged/documented, prioritized and resolved.Ensures that all assigned Run-the-Business (RTB) / Business-as-Usual (BAU) tasks are properly scheduled, staffed, and completedEffectively communicate and turnover support issues and status to Solutions Delivery Team for Level 2 Support Issues or to the 3rd party vendor.Create data extraction or report utilitiesReport status of requests items and incidents loggedImplements security and system policy.Report and escalate any anomalies observed in systems and server infrastructure to IT Management.Strictly complies with corporate governance and principles, such as but not limited to Housekeeping, Safety, Environmental and Code of Conduct and Discipline
