Job Overview The Aldenham Education Group (AEG) is looking to appoint an experienced Marketing Specialistto help us develop our brand positioning and direct marketing of our newschool. The role requires someone to work throughout the School terms and forsome weeks of the School holidays, and is therefore a full time post. Responsibilities as MarketingSpecialist Familiariseyourself with the Aldenham brand ideals and websites to create contentthat supports their objectives and desired identityWork with the AEG marketingagency to develop a web content strategy that encompasses the goals of theschool and aligns with the Aldenham imageWork with the AEGmarketing agency and/or local marketing agency to design direct marketingcampaigns to generate interest from existing and new markets and toposition the school effectivelyCooperate and workwith the marketing agency to ensure that the individual school marketingis in keeping with the Aldenham brandOversee the managementof the school website, in liaison with the agency, and guide ideas fordevelopmentWork with staff andpupils in the school to create a rich seam of creative and appropriatecontent to represent the vibrant and diverse nature of what is offered in theschool, capturing key events but also effectively portraying the normal onboth the website and social media channelsOversee a contentmarketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and deliveryof content throughout the year both for in-house media, but also third-partydirectories and advertising, in liaison with the Head and the AgencyReview copy forarticles on the websites written by the agency and approve for postingMonitor theposition of the school in the press, reporting to the Head and the agency any concernsIn liaison with theHead and the Office Manager, be responsible for the organisation of OpenDays and other dedicated marketing events in SchoolBe responsible for the booking and leading ofTours, and handling all initial enquiries for prospective parents and others to the School, by responding to emails and followig up by telephone as needed. Later follow up regarding actual the application/registration process falls to the RegistrarMake connectionswith external companies and compounds in order to drive interest fromtheir employees and clients in sending children to the SchoolDevelop goodworking relationships with the other early years settings from whichpupils may join Aldenham. This will include visit to those settings on an informal basis or for arranged meetings with prospective parent groupsAttend events tocapture them as content. Take photographs and video and edit to make themweb and agency ready. Events may take place in the evenings and someweekends Manage the photo and videolibrary on Teams/Sharepoint or other DAM, developing appropriate categorisation toenable easy search. Monitor permissions for photoand video usage, in consultation with the Registrar and the Data Manager. Working with AEGmarketing agency, stay abreast of current best practices in the industryand review competitor websites and Social Media Feeds to compare theiractivities with those of this schoolEstablish andmaintain effective communication channels and efficient/effective workingrelationships with other members of school personnel and customersWorking with theRegistrar and agency, produce regular reports on the effectiveness of ourMarketing, updating and tracking numbers of applications, visitors, offersand confirmed new starters for each Year Group and Academic Year of Entry. Skills and Qualities needed for School MarketingSpecialist An affinity with children - this is, after all, a school!A passion fordigital marketing and a readiness to embrace the fast developments in thedigital worldAt least threeyears of agency experience or similar in a content creation/eventsmanagement roleExcellent verbalcommunication skills with a good command of the English languageExcellent writtencommunication skills and an ability to write and proofread copy in EnglishConfidence dealing face to face and on the telephone in a sales capacity, as we are marketing a product to prospective parentsExtremely computerliterate, demonstrating facility to learn new applications quickly andwith minimal supportAbility to conceivefresh and appealing ideas for new content that establishes or supports theAldenham brand identity and is appropriate for the different target ages Good understandingof Social Media marketing, including appropriate strategy on developingcontent plans for organic advertising and sales funnels for paidadvertising Strong skills increating original content that targets a specific audience and meetscompany objectivesAbility with photographyand photoshop (or similar) to prepare appropriate and creative content forthe agency and for our own websiteAbility with videographyand video editing platforms to prepare appropriate and creative contentfor the agency and for our own websiteGood working knowledgeof MS Office 365, including MS Teams for collaboration, Sway and FormsGood workingknowledge of WordPressThe MarketingSpecialistwill need to be capable of carrying the necessary work on printmaterials in liaison with external agencies as required
