Apply for tomorrow's opportunity today with VOLT! Now hiring for an IT Help Desk Technician in the City of Gardena! As an IT Help Desk Technician you will:
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues as raised by end users and production staff on Windows computers and manufacturing computers.
- Setup, install & configure new PC hardware for end users and production.
- Review and address access & security permissions for all I.T. systems (MS AD, file server shares, Remote VPN, ERP, MS365)
- Assist with the setup and/or troubleshoot presentation equipment and software for meetings both onsite in conference rooms and online (MS Teams).
- Comply with Corporate IT Service Management and Service Desk policies, procedures, and directives
- Recommend process changes as needed for service improvements
- Create and maintain I.T. support documentation & procedures.
- Stay current with information technology systems and industry trends.
- Be available off-hours (seldom) for any urgent issues.
- Utilize and leverage additional (internal/external) resources for solutions including other members of our I.T. support team, vendor support and online research. Escalating to senior I.T. staff as needed.
- Review status reports and monitor the health of all computing and network devices notifying the IT staff of the need to address the identified issues potential liabilities.
- Prioritize workload as assigned by management as well as requests by end-users
- Work with external vendors & managed service providers to address found or reported problems with I.T. hardware, software and online services.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business
- High school diploma or equivalent
- I.T. Technical Certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, MS IT Support) a plus
- Experience installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software preferable in a business environment.
- PC Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 10 (Mac OS familiarity a plus)
- MS 365/MS Office including email (Exchange Online). Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Skype for Business experience a plus.
- Experience supporting networked computer accessories such as printers and scanners
- Meeting Presentation systems – hardware and online (MS Teams)
- Remote troubleshooting (via MS Teams, MS RDP)
- Good oral and written communication skills.

- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Follow-up & follow through with tasks at all levels
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking and prioritizing workload
- Work independently, with minimal supervision
- Familiar with Windows Servers and Windows Server Active Directory
- Familiar with computer networking hardware and software (cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi Access Points, VPN clients)
- Familiar with ERP software and concepts (specifically EPICOR)
- Schedule : Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
