About the team Trade Services Section is responsible for processing, checking, approval and monitoring the day to day operations of trade related transactions as well as the related risks control. Teams mainly handle daily operations of trade, (i.e. LC opening, LC Advising, Confirmation, Transfer LC, Import & Export documents checking, financing, Collection, settlement, irregular item investigation & periodic reporting etc.) Role requirements
- Perform the duty of checking and approval of trade transactions (e.g. L/C opening, bills collection, I/E financ ing, settlement and account receivables financing etc.).
- Handle compliance judgment on trade documents.
- Spot loopholes and operational risks in the daily activities.
- Deal with internal / external customers for matters related to export trade transactions.
- Conduct visits to customers with Relationship Managers to explain products and solutions of trade services as necessary.
- Develop team members through work assignment, coaching and training.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects.
- Recommend actions in relation to change of laws, uniform customs & practices and government regulations.
- Report to Team Head / Section Head of any operational risks, inefficient operations and propose concrete solutions.
- Make regular review on workflows, IOP & HOP and suggest necessary revisions.
- Craft new ideas on improving operational accuracy and efficiency.
- Performing the checking and approval functions to the daily trade related operation, this role will assist Team Head / Section Head in the Team’s / Section’s administration & enhancement targets planning, setting & execution.
- Make decision on matters & discrepancies in relation to trade transactions and report to superiors where necessary.
- Supervise and lead the subordinates to accomplish their assignments accurately and effectively.
- Provide training to staff members of the section, other sections and overseas branches.

- Continuously acquiring necessary knowledge through day to day work and training, the individual should learn to work independently or in a team;
- The individual respects for and commits to high standards of business conduct and integrity in conducting operations, reporting and etc.
- University degree holder;
- More than 10 years of experience in trade services operations;
- Sound Import and Export knowledge;
- Familiar with ICC rules (UCP600, ISBP, URR725 and URC522 etc.);
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; and
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
