Solutions Architecture | API Design | Finance Your new company This prestigious financial institution requires a hands-on Assistant Manager to join its dynamic business here in Hong Kong. Your new role

• Collaborate with internal IT, Information Risk Management (IRM) department, and external vendors to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of digital transformation projects.
• Identify, source, and test digital solutions to meet business requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and assistance to ensure the successful implementation of digital solutions.
• Analyse requirements and assess detailed solutions from a system perspective
• Review the application development vendors on development and implementation work
• Assist in identifying, sourcing, and testing digital solutions that can effectively address various business problems.
• Support solution design and ensure requirements are captured for software development projects
• Contribute expertise in supporting the development of technical specifications
• Oversee and QA the development of solution components ensuring this meets requirement and complies with all relevant standards

What you'll need to succeed

• Cantonese speaking is a must
• University degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines;
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in enterprise application development / system integration, preferably in the banking, finance and insurance industry, large technology companies or professional consultancy services;
• Demonstrated experience in developing complex digital solutions, including digital applications, business transformation, solution architecture and design, etc.;
• Experience and knowledge of cloud technology adoption is preferable;
• Proficient in API design & management;
• Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g. Python) will be a bonus.
• Obsession with new technology such as container technology, machine learning, digital customer engagement etc.;
• Strong vendor management skills;
• Logical, detailed-minded, and well-organised; and
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese with good communication and presentation skills.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Senior Associate / Associate.
• The employment will be on a 1-year contract term subject to renewal.
