Requirements:
- PhD in Economics from a reputable institution
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a macro economist covering Asia
- Previous experience in a top investment bank or buy-side firm
- Strong understanding of global fixed income and interest rate markets in Asia
- Excellent written communication skills
- Central banking experience (prior to buy-side/sell-side research) is advantageous
- Conduct thorough analysis of developed Asian economies, focusing on Japan, Taiwan, and Korea
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to develop investment strategies based on economic analysis
- Monitor global fixed income and interest rate markets, with a focus on Asia
- Produce high-quality written reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Stay informed on macroeconomic trends, policy changes, and market dynamics in Asia
