JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapon's systems and air crews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges JOB SUMMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Operations and maintenance technician, working under general technical guidance, who specializes in ground-based electronic systems Works on various types of electronic equipment and related devices by performing a combination of the following: installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, construction and testing • Operates and maintains electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers and transmission lines, high voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays, and antenna positioning systems • Applies technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data and test equipment • Troubleshoots to the assembly level and makes needed repairs • Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and effects repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition under circumstances constrained by time • Manipulates computer keyboards and views to perform data entry and interprets computer displays • Perform maintenance, to include routine preventative inspections and corrective maintenance following documented maintenance processes and procedures • Performs hardware and software upgrades, to include operational system checks and execution of test plan(s) to measure performance • Performs installation of new equipment as directed; works with other departments and work centers to coordinate efforts and achieve goals • Ability to work and make independent decisions under stressful circumstances • Provide operational support for military personnel engaged in training exercises • Assists and/or provides occasional work direction to lower-level technicians • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interface with personnel at all levels • Performs all other related duties as assigned or requested HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATION • Candidate must have a CompTIA Security+ certification or must be able to obtain and maintain the CompTIA Security+ certification within the first 180 days of employment REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE Associates degree or higher from an accredited college or technical school with courses in math, basic electronics, and microwave theory or a military equivalent is required Comprehensive knowledge in general electronics and demonstrated expertise in electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems along with test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment is necessary Experience with computer network equipment/configuration, desktop client configuration, microwave, RF devices is required At least 7 years of hands-on experience is required Successful candidates will have expert-level troubleshooting and soldering capabilities BENEFITS • Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance • Benefits Active on Day 1 • Life Insurance • Health Savings Accounts/FSA's • Disability Insurance • Paid Time Off • 401(k) Plan Options with Employer Match • JT4 will match 50%, up to an 8% contribution • 100% Immediate Vesting • Tuition Reimbursement OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to the employee's job WORKING CONDITIONS Duties are performed both indoors and outdoors Outdoor duties may be performed on even or uneven surfaces, which may be dry or wet Outdoor duties may be performed on gravel or rough terrain; weather conditions may vary from extreme heat to cold Climbing stairs, ladders, towers, and scaffolds, indoors or outdoors, is required; ability to become tower climbing certified is required Government vehicle is used on an as-needed basis for official purposes only Ability to work in a field environment is required;
