Regional Building Surveyor (Client Side)

Seeking a Regional Building Surveyor to join a Private Health Care provider. Hays Property and Surveying are seeking a Regional Building Surveyor to join a leading private health care provider. The company is a leading provider of health care services with multiple locations based across the UK. Their in-house Estates Team are responsible for providing a central support function, delivering multiple capital projects and planned and reactive maintenance across all locations within the company's portfolio. The team is now looking to appoint a new Regional Building Surveyor to be responsible for sites within their Adult Care estate. This is a home-based role. However, significant travel to sites will be expected, and the individual will need to be strategically positioned to cover all locations across the South of England. Your new role As the Regional Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing and delivering multiple capital projects and planned maintenance programmes across a portfolio of private adult health care locations. This will include working closely with internal stakeholders and external teams of contractors and consultants, managing projects from feasibility to completion. Key responsibilities -

• Project Management of multiple capital works projects.
• Ownership and delivery of a planned maintenance programme.
• Write and prepare work specifications, procure building contracts and appoint contractors.
• Manage budgets, payments, invoicing and progress reporting
• Monitor the performance of projects on site to ensure they are delivered within agreed timescales.
• Ensure compliance and Heath and Safety is adhered to on site.
• Liaise closely with operational teams and local internal stakeholders.

• MRICS / MCIOB qualified preferred, but not essential.
• A relevant degree in Building Surveying / Construction.
• Proven experience of working in a similar role as a Building Surveyor / Project Manager
• Experience of delivering multiple capital projects and planned maintenance programmes.
• Proficient knowledge of building contracts, compliance and health and safety.
• The ability to travel on a regular basis, with some overnight stays.
• Geographically placed to cover sites across the South of England.
