New Vacancy - Development Underwriter (x4) Remote Working Lloyd's MGA HFG are currently recruiting for a Lloyd's MGA who are seeking 4 Development Underwriters in the commercial combined space across different locations in the South West region including: ➔ Chelmsford/Ipswich/Norwich ➔ Exeter/Bristol ➔ South Wales/Shropshire ➔ Gloucester/Wiltshire These roles will be solely new business focused and the successful candidate should have experience in the SME - Mid Market Property and Casualty space. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a book of new business and broker relationships, focusing on opportunities and trading.
- Onsite Broker Visits and Underwriting Surgeries.
- Escalation point for Key Broker Partners.
- Reviewing and underwriting of new business quotations across all products within our underwriting appetite including any queries within the SLA's of the business.
- Regular communication with the Business Development Managers to develop and maintain broker relationships.
- Act as a referral point for underwriters within the Team.
- Work closely and effectively with the underwriting team to ensure that all work is completed within SLA's and to maintain broker relationships by offering a high level of customer service.
- Operate in accordance within the Underwriting License given and use the Underwriting Guide and collaborative with senior colleagues.
- Take initiative, within the context of the role, to improve work processes and promote overall corporate goals.
- Home Based with occasional visits to London Office when necessary.
