Opportunity to work in an independent M&E engineering firm with a global presence, operating in the Data Centre markets. Based in Central London, my client has delivered major data centre projects across the globe with a network of international partners and offices. This is a full-time hybrid role for a Principal Mechanical Engineer. The Engineer will be responsible for Mechanical systems design on data centre projects. This opportunities is hybrid (50% of the month in the office). Job requirements

  • Expertise in large HVAC and cooling systems
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in data centre projects design
  • Experience in RIBA concept stage design to 4c (or 4iii) and Stage 5 client monitoring role.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Familiarity with either Amtech, ETAP, EasyPower, AutoCAD or Revit
  • The right to work in the UK.
The ideal candidates should be degree/ diploma educated in Engineering or similar and have a sound knowledge and passion for data centre MEP design, with a mechanical bias. You will have excellent technical knowledge in your primary discipline, a thorough understanding of mechanical engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process. The successful individual will be based in our London office working on prestigious data centre projects throughout UK/Main Land Europe, India and the Middle East. Our Clients include a mixture of key regional and international players in the data centre industry, collocation providers and Hyperscale data centres.
