Global Procurement – Cleaning | Global Services Company £75,000 - £87,000 per annum + 20% bonus + £8,000 Car Allowance + matched pension + Private healthcare, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Hybrid Working Hybrid working (1-2 days a week) in Hertfordshire HQ ** You will be required to be based in the UK with full working rights Overview: An outstanding opportunity has come up working for a Global Services to lead a high profile and truly global category. This Global Category role is a brilliant opportunity for someone who will play a key part in managing the Cleaning category to maximise value, impact the sustainability goals, and enhance the companies commercial competitiveness. This opportunity will be managing a direct report, who will be supporting the overall global category, c.£100M annual spend across cleaning supplies, cleaning chemicals, small & large cleaning equipment, etc. You will require the understanding of the dynamics when negotiating and working with high dependency on a market dominant supplier whilst being able to demonstrate an appreciation for the nuances of international & multi-cultural remote teams. What the role involves:
- Autonomously manage global and European cleaning category i.e. Cleaning chemicals, small & large cleaning equipment.
- Continuously refine category management models, processes, and strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Align category strategies with the companies’ sustainability commitments and client needs.
- Foster supplier relationships and negotiate international agreements for enhanced profitability and risk mitigation.
- Ensure effective deployment and governance of category and sourcing strategies across regions.
- Collaborate closely with Senior Finance Management for robust performance reporting.
- Engage actively in international travel for category and supplier management
- Demonstrable experience in creating and implementing a global category strategy, ideally within the cleaning category.
- Proven track record in complex contract negotiation with market dominant supplier.
- Graduate calibre with CIPS/ISM or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Proven track record in complex contract negotiation and international category strategy development.
- Strong communication, motivation, and influencing skills, with an ability to work in a multicultural and matrix environment.
- Financial acumen coupled with result-driven and process-managing abilities.
