Public Procurement Lawyer - Part Time/Remote working
Job details
Our client, a private sector transport operating business, is looking for a senior lawyer to assist them with public procurement contracts on an ad hoc basis. This is a part time contracting role, with flexible hours to suit, and will be almost entirely remote working. The role will support the General Counsel in the provision of legal services relating to public procurement with a focus on rail transportation. The successful candidate will be someone who thrives working at pace and is comfortable taking the initiative, being proactive, clear, and commercial in supporting the business, while effectively working on large scale projects Qualifications and experience - you will have:
- Trained at a reputable UK law firm
- In house experience ideally within transportation
- Experience working on public procurement contracts
- The ability to quickly understand complex issues an be able to translate that into timely, practical, and accessible advice to stakeholders, including at executive level
- Experience of a wide variety of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with both the public and private sector.
- A desire to learn, get “stuck in” and take ownership of the process
