Film & Photography Technician Location: Churchill Place, London Contract: Permanent, Full time Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm with 1 hour break, (Flexibility required to start earlier/finish later when required for projects) Work model: 3 days on site, 2 days remote (remote days will be dependent on projects, may be expected to be onsite more than the 3 days stated) Interview Process: 2 x in-person interviews Williams Lea seeks a Film & Photography Technician to join our team! Williams Lea is the leading global provider of skilled business-critical support services to financial, legal and professional services firms. Sound good so far? Purpose of role You will be working as part of a busy in-house creative production team that responds to numerous briefs daily. The team includes Print, Digital and Document designers and a Film, Motion GFX, Editing and Photography team. Innovation is a key aspect of the team, with the client actively encouraging new ideas, software and solutions. The team are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from event and campaign material to website designs and digital animation. The role will involve pre-production and production of digital video and photography solutions across various platforms; the creation of corporate video messages, training videos, internal communications, event filming, and corporate photography including head-shots, brochure photos, and event photography to briefs that come into the team for projects from pre-production to delivery. Key responsibilities:

  • Production of digital media content including: video, audio, motion graphics, photography and digital event material for exhibition and conferences
  • On location and studio based filming and photography
  • Remote video and audio recordings
  • Audio/Voiceover recordings
  • Strong job and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects and prioritise accordingly
  • Take and interpret briefs from clients whilst advising them on the best technical and design solution through a well thought out Creative Response
  • Educate and influence clients to choose effective and functional approaches and deliverables within their timeframes
  • Excellent communications skills at all levels (client, team, management and IT)
  • Negotiate and manage deadlines
  • Follow standards and digital guidelines for branded materials
  • Keep abreast of digital media trends, technologies and developments to share new ideas to the team and client
Knowledge and skills required:
  • 3+ years similar experience
  • Excellent understanding of current digital (video and web) technologies and creative design knowledge
  • Understand and anticipate clients’ needs and expectations
  • Innovative with the ability to implement problem solving initiatives
  • Keen and eager to learn and develop new skills to support the growth of the team
  • An active interest in new industry trends, emerging technologies and innovation
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Calm and mature personality with the ability to work both on own initiative and in a team environment, often under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Professional, confident and enthusiastic team player
  • Collaborative and proactive approach
  • Flexibility regarding working hours (The position will require flexibility around working hours. Most working days will be 9.00am-5.30pm, but there will be jobs that start at 7am, and similarly there will occasionally be events that finish at 10.00pm. There may be occasions where overseas or overnight work may be required as well.)
