Taylor Hopkinson is supporting an international renewable energy producer in the recruitment of an O&M Technician. In the UK, our client has a focus on utility-scale solar and storage projects. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as defined in contracts with customers and partners.
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues arising in photovoltaic installations.
  • Provide prompt on-site and remote troubleshooting support.
  • Recommend and implement fault recovery solutions to restore production.
  • Interpret drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Conduct maintenance services on electrical components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot failures.
  • Prepare maintenance reports.
  • Perform specialized technical maintenance activities on-site.
  • Monitor and report on operation and maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to preventive maintenance plans for all equipment.
  • Operate and resolve faults on existing systems.
  • Respond to and assist with emergencies at PV plants within the assigned area or in other countries where our operations are present.
  • Participate in integrated commissioning and start-up activities in various locations.
Requirements:
  • Professional electrical qualification (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems and processes.
  • Experience in medium and high voltage maintenance (preferred).
  • Proficiency in data acquisition and communication systems.
  • Technical design knowledge.
  • Understanding of photovoltaic solar energy (experience with wind, storage projects, or other renewable energy sources is also valuable).
  • Willingness to travel for short periods with short notice.
