Title : Procurement Manager Sector : Manufacturing Location : Remote (with occasional travel to Southampton) Salary & Package: £300 - £400 day rate Sea Global are delighted to be partnering with a market leading business at the forefront of their industry who are looking for an experienced procurement professional to join their team on a short term basis. They are looking for someone to come in for 3 to 6-months initially with potential to go permanent! Reporting into the Director of Procurement, they will be responsible for leading and developing the indirect categories, looking after the spend across all UK & Ireland sites and championing procurement improvements and cost-savings across the sites. They are ideally looking for someone that has end-to-end procurement experience across a range of indirect and direct categories from a manufacturing or similar environment.   • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies across multiple different indirect categories.
  • Responsible for leading end-to-end procurement including Tenders, Negotiation, Supplier Relationship Management, Contract Management, and Spend Data Analysis.
  • Maintain relationships with local and international suppliers, negotiating and ensuring deals align with business activities.
  • Support and manage multiple projects, driving strategy and communicating risks with the team & business.
  • Develop and lead procurement process across sourcing and operational procurement processes.
Experience & Requirements
  • End-to-end procurement experience across a range of categories including Freight, Utilities, Telecoms, PPE, MRO, Recruitment, Marketing etc.
  • Experience with direct spend will be beneficial but not essential.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced market, demonstrating excellent supplier and stakeholder management skills.
  • Can undertake work and projects on their own initiative.
  • Ideally degree and/or MCIPS qualified (however, this is not at all essential)
