Commercial Payments Lawyer

ElevatFlex is seeking a Commercial/Payments Lawyer for a 3-6-month contract, ideally in a hybrid office setting or remote with some flexibility to visit occasionally for a global customer, a multinational bank, starting as soon as possible. This role will involve ensuring key strategic arrangements with customers, partners, suppliers, and products, ensuring that they meet contractual requirements under payment and related financial services rules. The role will also involve analysing and advising on commercial contract issues. Experience in creating playbooks and processes is required for working on projects related to process mapping and related documents. Required:
- A qualified solicitor with a practising certificate in England & Wales
- Ideally 4-6 years of experience in commercial and corporate work, preferably in Financial Services, is being sought.
- Candidates with direct experience in a comparable Fin Tech company with less than 4-6 years of experience are also considered.
- Expertise in payments, banking regulations, outsourcing principles, and contract drafting.
- Strong understanding of key regulatory and contractual principles, and can draft, negotiate, and advise on commercial contracts.
- Working knowledge of Data Protection legislation and experience in foreign exchange and multicurrency products.
- Knowledge of payment and financial services or a background in a regulated environment
- A strong understanding of key contractual principles, corporate/commercial issues, UK financial services, payment systems, retail banking, consumer finance, and the UK regulatory ecosystem is a desirable skill.
