AVP- Compliance Assurance

Our client, an esteemed Regional Corporate Bank, is looking for an AVP to join their compliance assurance and reports to the Head of Compliance Assurance. Responsibilities:

• Conduct effective, objective, risk-based compliance monitoring activities pursuant to the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan.
• Identify potential or actual regulatory risks arising from the results of compliance monitoring and proposing recommendations to the relevant stakeholders in order to mitigate the identified risks.
• Conduct compliance monitoring activities in accordance to the plan, and upon request by the Chief Compliance Officer.
• Review and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the Bank's compliance risk control framework. Identify key deficiencies, assess the implications, and provide recommendations to the relevant stakeholders on mitigating actions.
• Assist in ad hoc compliance related review or investigation / carry out any other duties as instructed by senior management.

To be succeed in this role, previous banking experience in compliance monitoring is required. Requirements:

• University graduated in Finance, Business Administration or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience in compliance monitoring , operational risk management, risk controls function and/or internal audit, etc from banking industry.
• Independent, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)
