First Nations Traineeship - Home Care Darwin
About the Traineeship: To support and grow our First Nations employment across the Northern Territory, ARRCS are growing their own trainee programs . New trainee opportunities are now available for First Nations to join ARRCS and be mentored and coached as they both work and complete a Certificate III qualification . This exciting role will see you employed by ARRCS as you complete practical paid work whilst being supported by our partner training organisation GTNT to complete your qualification. Commencement of the traineeship will begin in July 2024 . However, ARRCS are looking at applications as soon as possible to work with you in coordination of your course enrolment and to start with on-the-job paid training. In addition, you will have Career Specialists supporting you along the journey and fellow colleagues completing similar traineeships to help you along the way. These new traineeships will ideally suit First Nation identified people who are either school leavers looking at career options, or, interested in securing a mentored and supported traineeship which can lead to a promising career. ARRCS are delivering traineeships within our Home Care (Community Services) Team in Darwin , in:- Personal Care Worker Trainee - Certificate III Individual Care - Aged Care
- Leisure and Lifestyle Officer Trainee - Certificate III in Leisure and Health
- Grant funded Certificate III qualification.
- Paid employment to earn an income and gain on-the-job training whilst you study.
- A specifically delegated ARRCS Career specialist who will be your point of contact to mentor and guide you throughout your study and experience.

- Have a passion for working in the Community Services area.
- Be comfortable to work amongst the elderly.
- Be passionate and excited about commencing a training course and completing a Certificate III qualification.
- A National Police Check dated within 3 months of commencement (requires 100 points of ID)
- Current Influenza Vaccination and ability to attach documentation confirming.
- A NDIS Screening check or proof of application.
