Job Title: Commercial & Procurement Consultant Location: Home Based, Flexible Working, with travel (UK based) Start Date: ASAP Role type: Permanent Security clearance: Must have or be eligible for SC. Employee Management Incentive Programme Evolve Commercial is, ultimately, the sum of its team. And as such, every member of the team will have the opportunity to own part of the company in return. The Role As a Consultant you will be expected to have the capability to lead and deliver procurement activities as well as support the delivery of our more complex programmes, using your proven skills, knowledge, and experience. You will also work closely with the directors to play a key and active role in future company development. Main Responsibilities Company development:

  • Support relationship management with clients and suppliers
  • Help develop the company’s internal capability and service offering
Provide commercial & procurement support & advice to our clients through:
  • Supporting the development of procurement and commercial strategies
  • Assisting pre-sourcing market analysis
  • Supporting and inputting to business cases for new procurements
  • Leading of relevant sized tender projects within public sector frameworks
  • Involvement in supplier performance management activities
  • Undertaking value-for-money analysis for business cases and tenders
  • Advising on procurement processes to ensure compliance with Public Contract Regulations and Defence & Security Public Contract Regulations as well as the clients’ internal policies and procedures
  • Carrying out and supporting various Contract Management activities and ensuring that files are up to date, providing an auditable trail of effective management
  • Supporting other members of the team to develop skills and experience in more complex procurements
  • Deliver against existing and new opportunities, to generate value for our customers
Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience We know that the best indicator of future success, is your recent and past achievements. We’re looking for people who have delivered successful commercial and procurement outcomes in at least one of the following areas:
  • Secure environment (Defence, Policing, Nuclear, etc.)
  • Public Sector (Government Departments, Government Agencies, Education Establishments, Local Government, etc.)
  • IT and Digital programmes (Digital Transformation, Cyber Capability, Software, Hardware procurement, etc.)
What you know and how you put this into practice is essential to how you will work within our team. We’re looking for people that successfully:
  • Deliver low risk & complexity activity independently or manage your own contribution to more complex projects
  • Develop your own relationships with project stakeholders
  • Understand compliance with public and defence & security contract regulations (PCR, DSPCR, SSCR, etc.)
  • Deliver work in accordance with key processes, using simple and effective ways of working
  • Support business projects and deliverables in a proactive way

Qualifications
  • Successful candidate likely to hold, be working towards, or keen to work towards CIPS/MCIPS or IACCM accreditation
  • Other professional qualifications and a relevant degree or degree level qualification are also desirable
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance is essential
