Director Global Supply Chain

DSJ Global are representing a Private-Equity backed global player in the automotive industry. With huge growth plans for the next 5 years, leveraging their strong product position in the market, they're currently searching for a Global Supply Chain Director to establish a central supply chain function across all the regional business units, and develop a consolidate digital landscape (ERP, WMS, TMS) across the group. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with the company's overall objectives and market dynamics.
- Lead and manage a high-performing supply chain team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
- Drive process improvements, streamline operations, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Sales, to optimize supply chain processes and ensure alignment of activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners to ensure the availability of quality materials, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
- Monitor and analyse supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address any bottlenecks or issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and capitalize on opportunities for operational optimization.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and quality standards in the supply chain.
- Balance of experience both in overseeing manufacturing business, as well as downstream/distribution-focussed business. Automotive, or similar industry experience would be beneficial.
- Track-record of leading Supply Chain organisations through new system implementations.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles, best practices, and industry trends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive process improvements.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in supply chain software systems, ERP systems, and other relevant tools.
- Fluency in English is essential
- Need to be able to travel globally
