Exciting Project Manager and Project Assistant Opportunities in Local Government!!! Venn Group are currently recruiting for experienced Project Managers and Project Assistants with a passion for making a difference in Local Government. We're seeking multiple PRINCE2 Practitioners at different levels who have extensive experience in Local Government and a proven track record in delivering projects within Social Services. These roles are within the Adult Services Directorate and are focused on streamlining Social Services and initiatives like divesting council assets to secure additional funding. This is with a view to make a tangible impact on the local community. We are looking for applicants with the below experience who are seeking their next challenge. Essential experience
- Extensive experience working within Local Government or the public sector, preferably in roles related to project management or service delivery
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively, including planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder communication
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, or PMI would be beneficial
- A solid understanding of Social Services and related policies, regulations, and challenges within the context of Local Government
- Delivering projects aimed at improving or streamlining Social Services is highly desirable
- Managing project budgets, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring cost-effective delivery
- Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis within a Local Government setting would be advantageous
- Ability to navigate and implement organisational change, particularly in initiatives aimed at streamlining services or optimising resources
- Leading change management efforts within a public sector environment is beneficial
- Interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels, including council officials, community members, service users, and external partners
- Stakeholder management and building collaborative relationships is essential
- Proven track record of identifying challenges, developing innovative solutions, and driving initiatives to successful outcomes
- Problem-solving within the constraints of Local Government regulations and policies is valuable
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities, regulations, and stakeholder expectations
- Resilience in managing setbacks and obstacles is important for long-term success
- Experience in leading project teams, motivating team members, and fostering a positive and collaborative work culture
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in driving projects forward and achieving desired results
- Extensive remote working (although the occasional onsite meeting)
- Long-term contract
- Competitive pay rate:
- £325per day Umbrella for Project Assistant
- £550 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35) for Project Manager
