Location: Remote Job Type: Contract Based Full-Time Hours About Alderon Games: Alderon Games is a leading video game development company known for creating engaging and immersive gaming experiences. Job Description: We are currently seeking a QA Tester to work closely with our development team to identify, log, and track defects within our latest title developed on the Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the software testing life cycle, show meticulous attention to detail, and have a passion for producing high-quality games. Key Responsibilities:- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
- Work as part of the QA team to ensure the functionality, reliability, and stability of the game.
- Report and document technical issues and bugs.
- Collaborate with the team to prioritize and validate issues.
- Contribute to the creation of test plans and test cases.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and other stakeholders to facilitate timely resolution of bugs.
- Assist in the preparation of reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
- Proven experience as a QA tester or relevant role in game development.
- Understanding of QA methodologies and software development life cycle.
- Proficiency in documenting and troubleshooting errors.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems such as JIRA or similar software.
- Passion for video games and a good understanding of the market.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools.
- Experience in a live service/online game environment.
- Understanding of scripting languages such as Python, Lua, or similar.
