Bid Writer (Freelance) Location: United Kingdom Job Description: Our client, a dynamic generative AI start-up, is looking for a Bid Writer to join their dynamic team which has swiftly grown from a 2-person founding team to a thriving workforce of over 100 in just 4 years, including a strategic expansion into the US market. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in securing funding opportunities for their diverse client base. Your expertise in crafting winning bids will directly contribute to their mission of simplifying access to government grants and funding. Responsibilities: • Utilize your expertise and skills to craft persuasive proposals, driving successful bids. • Create Gantt Charts for efficient project timeline management. • Accurately estimate tender costs to ensure competitiveness and profitability. • Foster effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather essential information and insights. • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by swiftly adjusting to diverse bid requirements. About you/key experience: • Demonstrated history of success, having secured at least three winning bids through bid writing expertise. • Proficient in the creation of Gantt Charts, showcasing strong skills in project timeline visualization. • Confident in accurately estimating tender costs with precision. • Previous exposure and hands-on experience in bidding for LMS (learning management software), professional training services, or telecommunications (preferred). • Adept at collaborative teamwork and effective communication across all organizational levels. • Exceptional command of the English language, both written and verbal. • Quick comprehension of underlying business contexts, challenges, and objectives. • Capable of thriving as a freelancer within a team environment and confidently engaging with new companies. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and proficiency in project management software tools such as Basecamp, Trello, or Monday.com (preferred).
