Job Description As a Trainee Website Designer, you will embark on a comprehensive training program to develop the skills and knowledge required to design and maintain high-quality websites. Working closely with our experienced design team, you will gain hands-on experience in web development, user experience design, and content creation. Key Responsibilities Training and Development:
- Participate in a structured training program to acquire proficiency in web design tools, coding languages, and design principles.
- Collaborate with senior designers to gain practical experience and insights into industry best practices.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of visually appealing and user-friendly websites.
- Contribute creative ideas to design projects and work towards implementing them under supervision.
- Work with the content team to create and optimise website content, ensuring alignment with design standards.
- Assist in conducting quality checks to ensure websites meet design specifications and are error-free.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, marketers, and project managers, to contribute to the overall success of projects.
- A strong interest in web design and a desire to pursue a career in the field.
- Basic understanding of design principles and familiarity with design tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and a creative mindset.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A-levels or equivalent educational qualifications.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and design software is a plus.
- A portfolio showcasing any personal or academic design projects is highly encouraged.
- Able to work both remotely and in the office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-driven and able to work to deadlines.
- Design-orientated with an eye for detail.
- Experience or understanding of SEO.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Understanding of CMS systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Experience working with Adobe Software.
- Building and designing websites.
- Optimising websites for SEO.
- Creating content for marketing campaigns.
- Designing artwork for websites and marketing campaigns.
- Liaising with new and existing clients.
