PR and COMMS MANAGER Job Description Start date: 1 st June 2024 Reports to:  Chief Executive Officer Contract term:  Annual, independent contracted position.   Responsibilities   Strategic PR and Communications Overview: · Create and deliver a strategic communications plan, alongside key agencies, that will build upon the IAPCO brand value, communicate the benefits of working with an IAPCO PCO Member and leverage the value of the global meetings industry · Ensure digital transformation across the association’s website and intranet is efficient and that brand identity is maximised · Drive the new voice of IAPCO forward. Delivery : • Manage the Association’s corporate identity, externally and internally • Manage the Association’s website ensuring that it remains current and optimally operational • Oversee the Association’s social and other media content, along with relevant content creators to ensure growth in engagement across all channels • Grow and develop mutually-beneficial relationships with external media outlets relevant to IAPCO community groups • Development, publication and distribution of the IAPCO Member bulletin: “The Insider” (monthly)• Development, publication and distribution of the IAPCO Magazine: “The PCO” (6 issues per year)• Work alongside Education Portfolio Manager to ensure Educational Programmes are promoted effectively • Work alongside Membership Manager to ensure member communication ties to activities and value proposition • Manage internal and external PR related to IAPCO AM&GA and other Member-hosted events • Ensure PR and marketing strategies support IAPCO Faculty, Council, HQ and Ambassadors and that they are optimised across industry and targeted outlets • Coordinate IAPCO’s trade show and industry meetings’ participation • Support CEO in delivering PR and Marketing entitlements for all of Commercial Partners’ • Recommendations to CEO and Council on all internal and external strategic reports • Support HQ team where required.
