ABOUT US Abergeldie is a locally owned contractor with 30 years’ industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities. About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Advisor to join our team delivering a Sydney Water project in Castle Hill. This complex project is part of a larger project, known as the North-West Treatment Hub, which will link three treatment plants in the area with the other two water recycling plants located at Rouse Hill and Riverstone. Your role will be expected to:
- Prepare and gain approval for the project Quality Management Plan (QMP)
- Review Client specifications and contracts for quality assurance elements and ensure the QMP adequately addresses the contractual requirements.
- Develop work lots, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection and Test Checklists (ITCs) structures that meet all project quality objectives.
- Train all project staff in the QMP and support them implementing the QMP across work lots.
- Support site and project engineers to develop ITPs and ITCs that meet the QMP and contract requirements.
- Monitoring of quality on site, ensuring Hold and Witnees Points are notified and signed off.
- Resolution of quality action requests or NCRs that arise.
- Regularly lead quality assurance meetings and record full and detailed notes/minutes as required.
- Ensure Vendor and subcontract RFQs include quality assurance and control submissions meet all project requirements.
- Experience developing and managing quality systems, plans and processes on large, complex projects.
- Working knowledge of project contract and quality management processes.
- Broad technical knowledge and hands on approach.
- A good understanding of construction standards and the value of an early risk identification and preventative action approach.
- An understanding of Sydney Water standards would be advantageous.
