Parkville location Full-time position Take your Nursing career to the next level A salary ranging from $35.34 to $47.26 per hour We are seeking a full-time, Registered Nurse working within the Medical & Surgical Department. Your role will be to deliver excellence in clinical leadership and provide safety and quality to patients and members of the multidisciplinary team. As a Gen Med/Surg Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include: Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpret and record measurements Monitor patients’ vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner Answer questions and educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team Act as a role model for Safe Practice About the Company This hospital is a 124 bed private hospital located in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. The hospital offers highly specialised services including extensive neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and general surgery. These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit. About You Current AHPRA Registration Previous surgical/acute medical and rehabilitation experience required of 2 years or more Demonstrated professional development Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work within a team environment Commitment to Quality Patient Care Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills Works well independently and within a team Excellent communication skills Minimum 2 years’ experience in acute care OND123
