Department FINANCE ADMINISTRATION & BUDGE (BL-BAP-IUBLA) Department Information Transportation Demand Management is committed to reducing single occupancy vehicle trips and getting people to use transit, ridesharing, walking, biking, and other forms of sustainable transportation. We focus on understanding how faculty, staff, and students make their transportation decisions and influencing their behavior to use existing infrastructure in more efficient ways. Transportation Demand Management also supports sustainability and public health goals by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, and creating a built environment that encourages, educates, and enables people to be active. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic student to join our team as a Sustainable Transportation Project Manager. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and programs aimed at promoting sustainable transportation solutions. You will collaborate with our team of experts to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives focused on reducing carbon emissions, improving air quality, and enhancing mobility options for communities. Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. This role requires the ability to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The work may be performed outdoors and thus there is exposure to the elements of nature (heat/sun, rain/chill). Additional Information Applications will be accepted until April 29, 2024, and then, if needed, on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Individuals are encouraged to apply prior to this date for first consideration. This student employee will be expected to work at least 1 day in the office and meet for a bi-weekly staff meeting. The remainder of their work will be done remotely, on or off campus. Work Location Bloomington, Indiana This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
