Apply now Job no: 500426 Work type: Permanent Location: Springfield Categories: Allied Health About the role Mater currently requires an experienced Allied Health Assistant to join our Mater Springfield team, on a permanent full-time basis . Mater Health Hub Springfield is located in Springfield Central, a 5 minute drive from Mater Private Hospital Springfield. Mater Health Hub Springfield delivers an integrated health service to the residents of Greater Springfield covering a range of Specialist and Allied health services. The successful candidate must have availability Monday-Friday and will primarily support the administrative duties for Allied Health in the centre such as following up on patient referrals, patient bookings, and billing. You will also assist in facilitating Allied Health group classes, and managing equipment in the centre. You will work closely with the Manager, Mater Health Hub Springfield to ensure excellent customer service is provided to patients accessing Allied Health Services and a range of supportive administrative duties. Salary range: $32.23 - $33.66 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary Key tasks in the role include:- General reception duties, patient bookings and billing.
- Answering phone and email enquiries about the service.
- Provide excellent customer service to all incoming patients accessing Allied Health Services.
- Assist in delivery of therapy services and running group sessions devised by therapists.
- Monitoring and care of clinical equipment, therapy material, educational resources, and assist with equipment purchasing.
- Maintain designated clinical areas, facilities and equipment in a safe and clean condition.
- Administration experience, ideally in medical/health administration.
- Possession of a valid open driver’s licence.
- Advanced communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clients, carers and service providers and respond to competing demands.
- Flexibility – able to adapt to changing priorities throughout the day and maintain composure and an excellent standard of customer service at all times.
- Demonstrated experience working in a patient environment (with inpatients, day patients, or outpatients).
- Ability to actively participate in a team.
- High level of computer skills.
- Highly competent organisation and time management skills.
