As IMB Bank moves through a vital phase of transformation, our Information Technology team are integral in helping innovate and build the future of banking. We are looking for a  Unix Administrator  to join our IT team to support our Unix infrastructure and further shape the delivery of Unix systems and operations to meet both business and customer needs.  Reporting to the Senior Technical Lead – Unix Administration, in alignment with IMB’s IT Enterprise Architecture and using best practice standards, the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Maintaining and supporting all aspects of IMBs IT UNIX systems and operations, ensuring stable reliable platforms configured to best practice standards meeting both business and member needs
• Providing support and resolution to incidents and service requests
• Understanding and following error and/or problem resolution processes
• Developing and delivering system solutions according to specifications and deadlines
• Expanding knowledge and skills to support Unix transformation initiatives in line with IMB's IT Technology roadmap
• Participating in a rotating afterhours callout roster to provide timely support and service to a 24/7 retail bank.

To be successful in the role you will ideally need to have:

• Red Hat Linux administration experience including security patching, OS upgrades, troubleshooting problems, server build and clustering to ensure maximum availability
• AIX system administration experience is advantageous but not essential
• Experience in Public Cloud (Migration, IaaS) is advantageous but not essential
• Experience in Ansible or other automation is advantageous but not essential
• Effective communication skills both verbally and written
• Ability to work together with a diverse group of teams and people
• Ability to adapt, embrace change and focus in a constantly evolving tech and banking environment
• A high attention to detail and be able to demonstrate logical methods for problem solving to remedy situations and make improvements.
