In your role as the Manager, eCommerce and Digital (12 Month Contract) at Kellanova Canada, you will lead eCommerce efforts shaping the vision, strategy, and overseeing program execution in this important growth area to drive shopper conversion. You will be responsible for leadership of retail search and account-specific digital marketing investments, identifying new retail and eCommerce media opportunities, and bringing key trends and implications to life to shape the future. This is a hybrid role based out of Canada HQ in Mississauga. This role also plays a key role in elevating team social media capability and in supporting critical digital operational needs. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Shopper, and Sales, and with key external partners including retailer digital marketing teams and media agencies and vendors. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- eCommerce Search - Lead search strategy and investments with key retailers; identify brand/product focus areas for communication and investment; coordinate with media agencies for execution and optimization, and socialization of post-analyses.
- Account-Specific Digital Marketing Investment & Activation - Determine optimal level of investment for key eCommerce retailers; identify unique theming and focus areas by customer (e.g. points program alignment, seasonal opportunities); set calendar of support; lead execution including creative development and post-analyses.
- Media Opportunities- Partner with media agency to evaluate and test investment opportunities to drive conversion with a focus on lower-funnel vendor and platform activations, and in evaluating/piloting retailer media omni-channel capabilities. You will also serve as the Social Media lead, partnering with vendors to socialize best practices for how to bring our brands’ messages to life within each platform’s unique environment.
- Strategic Thought Leadership - Shape the future by developing and deploying regular cadence of E-Commerce trends overviews, retailer deep-dives, and data reporting, and by surfacing key activation insights and implications with the Commercial teams in order to influence eCommerce and retail digital investment and presence in experience plans. Maintain close Global eCommerce team connectivity for best practices sharing; identify opportunities to elevate tracking and measurement.
- Lead eCommerce & Digital Operational Activities - Including: eCommerce and Digital budget management; ensuring accurate and timely uploads of image and content to key retailer portals; providing eCommerce data as required to support North American and Global reporting; leading data governance and data privacy-related processes and checks; serving as custodian of website development and maintenance processes including acting as liaison with key digital vendor partners; uploading social media assets to paid/owned channels, managing social handles, and providing moderation oversight.
- Post Secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in eCommerce. CPG experience is an asset!
- Proven project management skills with a strong bias for action and high proficiency for multi-tasking.
- Ability to translate data into meaningful, actionable insights and implications.
- Strong collaboration, communication and influence skills, working with internal and external stakeholders (cross-functional, agencies, retail customers).
- Experience in Marketing, Shopper Marketing, and/or Sales and with digital media and/or digital operations considered assets.
