Te Whatu Ora are seeking for Clinical health psychologist to join their team at Southland Hospital, in Auckland, New Zealand . The clinical health psychologist service at Southland Hospital hold regard, providing a diverse caseload across all age groups, offering an exceptional opportunity for professional growth and satisfaction. For this position, candidate will be capable of working 40 hours per week within a hospital. It have ability to the provision and provide high- quality care service within the southland hospital. It have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with health professionals and patients. This full- time position offer a competitive salary packages $83,000 – $112,000 per year. For this position, candidate must have valid annual practicing certificate (APC) and be registered with the New Zealand psychologists board.

Responsibilities for Clinical Health Psychologist:

  • Candidate is responsible for providing high-quality health psychology service at southland hospital.
  • It must have ability to provide psychological advice, consultation to the patients and their family.
  • Management of varied caseload including the assessment, formulation and intervention of anxiety and mood difficulties related to patients.
  • Access to health psychology administrative support to them.
  • Provide psychological interventions that promote rehabilitation and psychological wellbeing.

Qualification for Clinical Health Psychologist:

  • Candidate should demonstrate highly self-motivated and have the ability to manage and prioritise a high workload autonomously.
  • It have ability to demonstrated clinical practice in therapy for people with physical health difficulties.
  • It must hold valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and be registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board.
  • It have ability to work independently or within the multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
