ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Administrator/Operations Assistant to join our incredibly our team in our Dunedin operation. This position will be on a permanent part-time basis working up to 20 hours per week.

You will be required to support the smooth running of the operations by supporting our functional managers in administration and organisational tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible to coordinate current and develop safety and wellbeing processes, activities, and initiatives.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Organise, facilitate, and generate reports for the monthly health and safety meetings.

  • Maintaining visitor and contractor inductions and insurance compliance via vistab.

  • Manage processing of safety conversations, site inspections and safety awards.

  • Manage all filing of Health & Safety documentation.

  • Maintaining staff records and visual communication on First aiders and emergency/fire wardens.

  • General office duties such as but not limited to:

    • General administration tasks and maintain stationary supplies across the operation.

    • Staff records and notice boards.

    • Document minutes at project and management meetings.

  • Support the organisation in the execution of office culture activities such as social activities, staff events and team building exercises.

TO BE A GREAT MATCH FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar or related role.

  • Experience with maintaining and administering health, safety, and wellbeing systems.  As well as demonstrating knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.

  • Proven experience in administration, time management and organisation skills.

  • Experience in managing processes and equipment within an office environment.

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and computer competency.

  • Have a current driver’s license and the right to live and work permanently in New Zealand.
