Job Description

The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi We have an exciting opportunity for 3x Security Officers  to join the University of Auckland Security Services team on a permanent basis. This position is full time, working on a five-week 24/7 rotating roster with a mix of morning, afternoon, and night shifts. You will be working within a motivated team of Security Officers who provide a range of essential services to staff, students, VIP’s and other visitors as well protecting the University of Auckland’s assets and property.  For more detailed information, please refer to the

About you | He kōrero mōu Working in a team environment, you will have a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and a strong desire to make a positive impact within our team, and the University community. You must be a self-starter with motivation to professionally develop yourself. Great communication skills are essential for this position. Previous security experience is ideal, but not essential. Qualifications

Preferred Skills | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake
  • Hold or able to obtain a Certificate of Approval (Green) for the Security Industry or willing to undertake training to obtain it
  • Ideally you hold a Level 2 Certificate in Security (NZQA recognised)
  • Control Room experience and/or a willingness to undertake Control Room Operator training
  • You must be of good health and have a high level of physical fitness
  • A desire to serve a diverse community
  • High levels of integrity
  • Great communication skills
  • Self-motivation with strong work ethic
  • The successful applicant will need to be able to obtain a NZ Police clearance and hold or apply for a NZ Drivers Licence
