- Assess and analyze risks associated with casualty insurance applications, evaluating potential losses and determining appropriate coverage and pricing.
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to develop and execute underwriting strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Monitor and manage the performance of the casualty portfolio, implementing corrective actions when necessary to maintain profitability targets.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry developments, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and standards.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior underwriters, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in casualty underwriting, with a proven track record of success in managing complex accounts.
- In-depth knowledge of casualty insurance products, including general liability, product liability, and professional liability.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate and assess risks accurately and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
- Proficiency in underwriting software
- Candidate with less experiences will be considered as Manager
