- Develop Data Migration Strategy: Collaborate with project managers and business stakeholders to define data migration objectives, scope, and timelines. Create a comprehensive data migration strategy that aligns with organizational goals and ensures minimal disruption to business operations.
- Lead Data Migration Projects: Oversee end-to-end data migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration validation. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data structures, and develop migration plans that adhere to best practices and industry standards.
- Manage Data Mapping and Transformation: Work closely with data analysts and technical specialists to identify and map source data elements to target data structures. Define data transformation rules and validate data quality and integrity throughout the migration process.
- Coordinate Data Extraction and Loading: Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to extract data from legacy systems, transform it according to defined rules, and load it into the target systems. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness during the extraction and loading processes.
- Develop and Implement Data Validation Processes: Define data validation criteria and develop testing methodologies to verify the accuracy and completeness of migrated data. Create and execute validation scripts and perform data reconciliation activities to ensure seamless transition and minimal data discrepancies.
- Monitor and Mitigate Risks: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact the data migration process. Proactively develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth migration.
- 8+ years of Data related project management experience
- System integration project experience will be ideal from banking industry
