About the team Deposit and Remittance Section ("DRS") is one of the operation units of the Hong Kong Administration Department of Mizuho Bank Hong Kong Branch. DRS provides operation support on Cash Management products and services to different business units, Head Office and various overseas branches. It also participates in operation and control optimization, new products and business initiative projects which supports the growth of the Bank.  Role requirements

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of cash management daily operations, including payments processing, reconciliation, investigation to ensure optimal and efficient payment operations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to maximize individual and team performance, foster a culture of collaboration, and promote employee engagement and retention.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in identifying key operational risks and defining robust control mechanisms to mitigate risks, enhance compliance, and safeguard organizational assets and interests.
  • Manage and oversee strategic projects and initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful project outcomes.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor strategic plans and initiatives in alignment with organizational goals and objectives, driving innovation, efficiency, and growth while mitigating risks and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Drive continuous operation optimization and improvement initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights, industry best practices, and stakeholder feedback to enhance processes, streamline workflows, and achieve operational excellence.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the team, fostering a culture of accountability, empowerment, and excellence while promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Essential Functions

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who has strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and make sound judgments in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • The individual should have a strong sense of commitment and responsibility; 
  • Has mind-set to initiate changes and improvements for higher productivity/performance; and
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and drive changes.
Work experience, education and skills
  • University degree holder
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in cash management, payment operation, and project management within the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and developing high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Good team player with sound communication skill.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Suitable candidate with less experience will be considered as a Vice President.
