Team Lead, Trade Finance (Bills Operations), European Bank

Your new company A leading European Corporate Bank is now looking for an Assistant Manager (One of the successors to Head of Trade Finance) to join their Trade Finance team (Bills Operations Team). Your new role

• Act as the final checker on import/export bills operations and follow up bills transactions with any issues;
• Responsible for all daily Trade Finance Operations (Import LC issuance/amendment, bill booking and payment, document checking and Guarantees; Export LC related products (Advising, Confirmation, Discounting etc.);
• Handle Back to Back LC and Transferable LC;
• Assist the Team Head of Trade Finance Operations to manage & execute all operational and control procedures with full compliance in accordance with the guidelines of Head Office/ Regional/ Branch/ HKMA;
• Supervise the Trade Finance Operations functions of 2 headcounts for daily bills operations and processing;
• Handling queries from both internal and external customers for the trade finance business;
• Participate in system enhancement and conduct UAT

What you'll need to succeed

• University graduate in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field of study.
• Minimum 8 years relevant hand-on experience in Trade Finance Operations
• Familiar with ICC UCP600, URC522 and other related rules.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English;with applicable local language highly desirable but not required.
