Night Healthcare Assistant

Banbury Park Care Centre are looking for an experienced healthcare assistant to join our growing team! This is a night shift role, working a minimum of 30 hours per week. About you - Nga Korero Mou • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant is desirable. • Advantageous if you have a minimum qualification equivalent to NZ level 3 or above in the health care industry. • Can share in our core values - O Tatou Uara of vision, optimism, respect, equality, and honesty, working effectively with people from a range of cultures. • Excellent communication skills. • Work well under pressure and can multi-task over a wide range of duties. • An ability to inspire and motivate. • You want to be a valued team member and can offer a high standard of service and support for our residents. About the role – Mo te turanga • Providing the best practice individualised healthcare to Rest home and Hospital level residents. • Familiarisation with care plans and provide care in accordance with individual resident notes. • Ensuring own knowledge and work represents education received in conjunction with policies and procedures. • Ensure changes in residents’ conditions are accurately identified, documented, and reported to senior staff. • Participate in annual review of care competencies to ensure best practice is maintained. • Documenting progress of each resident’s progress in comprehensive and timely manner including utilising internal Qestral developed clinical software. • Participate in Infection Prevention and Control strategies including ensuring the use of personal protective equipment. • Participation in Health and Safety drills, training, and safety techniques.
