Gardener We have opportunities for motivated, Gardener/Greenspace Labourers to join the Parks and Reserves team based in the Selwyn district on a temporary full-time basis. As a Gardener/Greenspace Labourer you will be responsible for the maintenance of gardens, parks and reserves on a reactive or scheduled basis in accordance with contract specifications. This includes garden maintenance, (planting and maintenance) basic weeding, line trimming, and mulching, pruning, using hedge trimmers and blowers. We are looking for people with the following skills and experience:
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- A National Certification in Amenity Horticulture or working towards preferred but not essential
- Some general gardening experience is preferred, but full training will be given.
- A passion for the outdoors and the environment
- Self-motivated and physically fit
- Health and Safety focused with a positive attitude.
- Full, clean class 1 licence
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
