About the role: This is an exciting opportunity for a temp to perm full-time position in Accounts Receivable. As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role and be an integral part of a newly created Finance Team. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Manage and maintain accurate records of accounts receivable transactions
- Generate and send out invoices to customers
- Reconcile accounts to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Correspond with customers to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies
- Reconciling incoming funds and ensuring correct allocation of customer payments
- Processing daily collections and credit claims in POS system
- Reconciling debtors’ accounts
- Debt collections (via phone and email)
- Processing monthly debtor statements
- Ensuring debtor profiles are up to date
- Managing trade credit insurance reporting, claims and renewals
- Responding to and investigating customer enquiries in a timely manner
- Supporting the Finance and Sales teams
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role.
- Managing required escalations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support teams.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Bank reconciliation experience.
