Supply Planner - Lead As a NEWLY CREATED ROLE to our business, this is an exciting time to bring in your previous purchasing and inventory forecasting experience, to lead, guide, and optimise changes to our inventory management processes. With two distribution centres across the motu, you will partner with key stakeholders across the business (mainly in supply chain and merchandise departments), bringing your curiosity and forecasting skills to understand the business needs and map out a new 18-month supply planning process. If you are a natural solutions finder, and like to collaborate to dig into how things are done in order to build and create new sustainable processes - then this could be the role for you! Your key responsibilities:
  • Act as Integrated Business Planning (IBP) liaison and as a technical subject matter expert on all elements of Supply Planning responsibilities
  • Support the Business Planning team with the management of SLOB and SKU deletions
  • Generate an 18-month Supply Plan in volume that supports the revenue and profit plan with underpinning assumptions and clearly visible gaps to budget with agreed action plans
  • Ensure the 18-month Supply Forecast is accurate, inclusive of all sales and marketing activity (including Back to School) and the gap to inventory budget is understood and managed
  • Support the Business Planning team to identify changes and gaps to plan assess impacts and build mitigations and actions for approval
  • Contribute to the facilitation of decision making within delegated approval levels, escalating to the Exec S&OP where necessary
  • Contribute to, and support the Business Planning Manager to present decisions to the Exec S&OP within the Performance Review Meeting, complete with actions and recommendations
  • Support the Business Planning team to enable an integrated picture of Supply and Supply Plans and resolve issues arising from the IBP process
To be successful in this position, you will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Business, Mathematics or a related field with at least 5+ years demand and supply planning experience
  • Experience in forecast planning tools
  • Experience working in large scale ERPs
  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of systems integration and the supply chain
  • Experience using statistical modelling
  • Familiar with S&OP and or IBP processes
  • Naturally curious and a solutions finder
