Structural Engineering Team Leader

Engineering Design Consultants Ltd (EDC) is a medium-sized, multi-disciplined engineering consultancy providing clients with an innovative, reliable, friendly service and creative solutions to ensure a smooth pathway from conception to completion. With three offices in NZ, they offer services across structural, civil, geotechnical, environmental and fire engineering disciplines. EDC are seeking applications from suitably qualified Senior Structural Engineers with a passion for mentoring and leading other Engineers. This is a rare opportunity to secure a senior level position, join a well-respected and significant name in the engineering sector and be a part of the Senior leadership team. You will work closely with the Structural Director in overseeing the engineering and drafting staff, including project and financial performance management and be the lead engineer on key projects. You will need the following:

• Have a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) Degree with Honours (or equivalent)
• Be a Chartered Professional (CPEng) or close to submitting
• Professional experience in a structural engineering consulting environment in NZ
• Previous experience in mentoring engineering and drafting staff
• Have strong external communication skills in dealing with clients at a senior-level
