Buyer Planner

Our client is part of a team of life science companies who are developing products that are paving the way in the fight to save lives. They are looking for a new team member Buyer / Planner . In this role you will be responsible for purchasing materials supplies equipment and services creating purchase orders converting requisitions to purchase orders and clear communication with external and internal customers on expected delivery dates.
- Create purchase orders for manufacturing supplies packaging labels other materials and services
- Review and submit autogenerated purchase orders; ensures existing orders are delivered on time by monitoring all open orders and contacting vendors as needed.
- Review purchase requisitions and convert them to purchase orders with commitment dates
- Timely review order confirmations from supplier
- Maintain correct pricing in the system
- Maintain and update ERP system information
- Follow up on back orders past due orders and communicate with end users the status of their orders and expected delivery dates.
- Coordinate w/ internal customers and suppliers to resolve issues related to purchased materials including product/material/service quality invoicing and returns
- Partner w/ internal customers as well as suppliers to develop and initiate process improvements.
- Bachelors Degree Business or Technical Preferred!
- or equivalent previous working experience
- Min 12 yrs of purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing environment
- Team Player ability to work in a collaborative teamoriented environment
- Skills to be successful demonstrated ability to meet deadlines multitask provide exceptional customer service strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient w/ MS Excel
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Previous experience /working knowledge of ERP systems
- Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
- The position is subject to passing a background check and drug screen
